Procurement Manager
Hybrid (London approx. 1 day per week)
£53k – £59k base salary
Due to continued growth our Client in the public sector are looking to recruit a new Procurement Category Manger to their established team.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Senior Procurement Manager to develop and deliver operationally excellent strategies for a portfolio of supply chain product categories.
- Lead on the development, procurement and implementation of category strategies ensuring that contracts awarded deliver value for money.
- Manage strategic Supplier Relationships in terms of cost but also value through innovation, service and risk management.
- Maintain and develop key stakeholder relationships through the organisation acting as a business partner to identify key opportunities.
- Drive market research and analysis and evaluate market intelligence to support specific procurement strategies.
- Ensure that procurement strategies and recommended routes to market remain within the legal requirements regarding publicly funded procurement.
The person
Suitable applicants for the Procurement Manager position must have:
- Comprehensive and demonstrable experience in applying Public Contracts Regulations knowledge to the management of end-to-end procurement activity and utilising different routes to market including frameworks/DPS and other tender approaches as appropriate
- Solid Contract Management experience
- Robust relationship management experience dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Good – Excellent Excel experience
This position will be based 1 day per week in London.
